The United Martial Arts Federation would like to show our appreciation to the schools, gyms, and other martial arts programs that are members and have supported our tournaments, seminars, and other functions by donating $1,000 to an active martial arts school or program by a random drawing. We appreciate your support and participation in making our events a success. We definitely understand that it is hard work to run a school or gym. The many responsibilities it entails, the fluctuation of school attendance, the soaring price of insurance among the many other bills, tasks and responsibilities that it takes to be a successful school or gym owner. We hope this donation can truly help lighten the load.

INSTRUCTOR OF THE YEAR AWARD
Being a instructor is tough enough, it's more than just teaching martial arts techniques. You're a counselor, mentor, babysitter and janitor all in one. That's why the UMA is excited to present this award to an instructor for going above and beyond and giving their all to their students.

The instructor must have five or more years of teaching experience.

He or she must teach at a verifiable martial arts school or program.

Voting starts January 1 and ends on October 15th.

Tournament participation by the instructor or the school is not required this award is to say" job well done".

-Flyweight 100-114 lbs
-Lightweight 115-130 lbs

-Welterweight 131-145 lbs

-Light heavyweight 176-199 lbs

The highest power score for each weight class over the entire year of all the UMA tournaments thrown will receive a trophy and a certificate of their score. Those participants will be inducted into the UMA's Hall of Fame for the highest power score of that year. They will also recieve an official UMA uniform and plaque.

The lifetime achievement award is for an individual who has been exceptionally dedicated to the advancement of martial arts worldwide. This individual has gone above and beyond in demonstrating and sharing their passion for the martial arts and all of its activities. Letting the world see their passion and helping others ignite their own. This award is to show our appreciation and to celebrate their accomplishments. Showing them that their sacrifice and dedication has made a significant impact on a large number of individuals, organizations and the entire martial arts community

Awards Information

All Awards and contest winners prizes will be given out at the UMA's banquet or at the last scheduled tournament of that year.
* All Awards and contest winners will receive 4 tickets to the banquet.
* All of the fighters, forms, and power champions will also receive an official UMA uniform.
* If an Award or Prize Winner cannot attend the UMA's banquet or last UMA's tournament, special arrangements will be made so they receive their prize.
* All winners will be notified on this page on the date posted. October 12th, please
respond immediately by email at amassociation.net.

The monthly giveaway
The recipient of the monthly giveaway gift assumes all risks in the using, maintaining or discarding the item. The UMA will not be held liable for any present or future injuries sustained while using this item
* To qualify for the giveaway you must be an UMA member. See Membership
* Once the winner is announced you will have 24 hours to contact us to claim your gift.
* If no contact is made within 24 hours another winner will be chosen.
* You must be 21 years and older and provide proof of age to claim any martial
arts weapons.
* Any apparel ( uniform t-shirts, sparring equipment ) your proper size must be given at the time of the call in.

Appreciation donation
* This will only be given to the senior instructor or the school owner.
* The donation can only be won once by a school. The winning schools' name will be
taken out of the drawing.
* The winning school will receive 6 tickets to the banquet.
* The winning school will receive a banner stating that they have won the award.

Lifetime achievement award
Criteria for nomination:
* Each candidate must have at least 30 years of practicing a martial art.
* Accomplishments must be verifiable.
* Accomplishments may be in teaching or the promotion of martial arts through writing, television or promoting events.
* All nominees will be chosen by the UMA Awards Council.
* Martial arts style doesn't matter.
* Winner's name will be posted on the UMAs website.
